Hi,
Is it possible to have two table on the same line? I want to create something like shown in the following image.
And is there a way to apply borders to outer table only and not the inner cells?

Every cell has borders at the top, the bottom, left, and right. You can set them separately to get the effect you want. Including my suggestion above of having a five column table that looks like two tables with two columns each.
